Life is an adventure of great experiences, happiness and excitement. Only I don’t feel that I’m on an adventure at the moment. Everything seems to have become ‘the norm’.
When I step back and take a look at myself, I see someone who had a large detached house, drives a luxury car, jets off on holiday and buys quality products. A good job affords my lifestyle. At a glance, people would probably put me in the ‘successful’ category.
I have two amazing daughters. They are fiercely independent, yet loving and caring. They’re beginning their own adventures. As any parent does, I totally support them as they follow their dreams.
As my daughters have grown up, I’ve begun to look at my life through a different lens. I challenge myself as to whether I am being honest to myself and, indeed, others. I’m learning more about myself and am more focused on my life’s adventure than I have been in the preceding 40+ years.
Our Farm Portugal is my next adventure.
Since originally starting this blog, I have made great progress towards my move to Portugal. But my adventure is substantially more than just moving from one country to another. It has given me time to reflect and already I’m learning more about myself than, at times, I care to know.
But as someone who wears all my emotions on my sleeve, I endeavour to be as honest and transparent as I can be.
I welcome you to look through the lens and join the adventure with me.
Let’s go! Vamos!
Marc
